CourseMill 7.5.1 Enhancements and Modifications

The following changes have been made to the CourseMill Product (Released On: August 18, 2017) :

New Features

  • Course/Curriculum Thumbnail: Administrators and Reporters can upload a thumbnail image for a Course or Curriculum to display to the student in the My Courses and Course Catalog's Card View
  • Breadcrumb Navigation: Students can use Breadcrumb Functionality in the Student UI to navigate between My Courses, Curriculum Details, and Course Detail pages
  • Enroll from the Course Catalog: Students can enroll directly from the Course Catalog.
  • Additional Sort and Filter Options
  • Students can sort by Course Type in the Grid View of the My Courses and Course Catalog pages
  • Students can filter by Location on the Course Catalog
  • Students can filter by Enrolled or Unenrolled only courses on the Course Catalog
  • Search and sort the posts on the Community Discussion board
  • View last post information for each topic in the Community Discussion board

  • Additional Administrator Settings

  • Administrators can customize the Header Color, Size Menu Color, and Logo Icon for the organization from the Organization Details dialog
  • A new Managed Property RestApiURL should be set with the full URL to the Rest API if prior versions of CourseMill need to call into the 7.5 API
  • A new Managed Property SudentUILocation specified the URL location of the student interface. This is typically used within the <#CM_LINK#> text variable in email templates to provide a link that allows the user a simple click to log-in to CourseMill.

Issues Fixed

Advanced Reports

  • CMAR-13: Cannot successfully link between the Interactions tables in Advanced Reports

General Reports

  • CM-521: The Completions report is generating an error when including Archived Users
  • CM-246: Status Report Session selection does not display closed sessions

Notifications

  • CM-415: Reporters that have cc flag turned on are not getting email copies
  • CM-571: Evaluations email notification not sent from the ProgressSchedule task

Evaluations

  • CM-78: Administrators, Instructors, and Reporters can only see a limited number of Evaluations on the page.
  • CM-482: Reporters see all students waiting on Evaluations on Evaluation page and via Evaluations emails, rather than only the students who report to them

Duplicating Orgs and Courses

  • CM-536: Locations are not being duplicated correctly when duplication an Organization
  • CM-303: Issues duplicating an Org due to existing OrgID or spaces in OrgID display poor error messages
  • CM-302 : Issues duplicating an Course due to existing CourseID or spaces in CourseID display poor error messages

Administrator/Instructor/Reporter Issues

  • CM-406: Administrator or Instructors cannot add two different SCO items in a Course
  • CM-111: An Administrator password that contains an '&' will not allow it to be changed by the user
  • CM-461: Meeting Days should default to No Days of the Week for the Session, allowing the Instructor to set the desired days.

Students

  • CM-561: Mobile students unable to access mobile courses if course type is set to Mobile after the content is initially imported
  • CM-432: Students can choose from multiple Instructor-led sessions to enroll when there is a prerequisite to take a web-based course first
  • CM-141: Course may not launch based on combination of curriculum, course, session, and community board settings.
  • CM-218: Unsupported browser message appears for IE-9 users
