Trivantis Corporation Unveils Lectora Version 18 with a New “Getting Started” Interface, a Contemporary Template Library, and 28 Updates for Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)

DEERFIELD BEACH, Florida – October 30, 2018 – Trivantis®, makers of Lectora®, CenarioVR®, ReviewLink™, just released Lectora Inspire and Publisher 18. This new release entails significant feature upgrades including a new modern “Getting Started” home page, a contemporary template library, updated button functionality, a feature to disable views of mobile devices, an HTML5-only publish option, and the latest enhancements from TechSmith®, Camtasia™ 2018, and Snagit® 2019. Other substantial product fixes and enhancements include 28 accessibility updates which ensure smooth content creation using Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and 60% of these accessibility updates were based on user-generated feedback. “I've been a fan of Lectora since 2006 for a couple of reasons: first is that it offers flexibility and control to develop content geared toward how a learner interacts with the content. Secondly, I am impressed with how Trivantis continually improves Lectora as a result of suggestions from their customers….When I got involved with developing accessible e-Learning, I was very pleased to see that Lectora’s power didn’t fail and Trivantis’ willingness to learn from their customers extends to those of us who are tasked with creating accessible e-Learning,” said Christine O’Malley, President of e-Learning Designs Inc.Of the more dramatic updates, the “Getting Started” page stands out due to its variety of templates made in partnership with FasterCourse®. By offering these new templates, users can immediately start time-sensitive projects with ease. Plus, now that buttons in the application offer foreground and background color selection options, modern looking objects can be developed with speed.Other Lectora improvements, that are powered by its Camtasia and Snagit integrations, include new screen recording, audio, video, and screen capture capabilities to help enrich the eLearning experience. Furthermore, the new HTML5 - only publish option will now ensure that content doesn’t contain outdated media types such as SWFs. “This new version of our leading authoring tool ensures that development is quicker and easier by bringing in new features for someone just starting with Lectora all the way through to our veteran users. We’re especially proud of efforts towards compliance and the number of improvements we were able to make in regards to WCAG 2.0,” said Laura Silver, Trivantis VP of Products.
