Communicating via JavaScript to embed objects in your e-Learning course can be done easily and seamlessly using Lectora® e-Learning software. Join Mike Raines and Damian Liska and learn how ICF International has created high levels of interactivity and two-way communication between Lectora and an embedded object.

Experience & Expertise:
Mike Raines is a Senior Associate at ICF International with more than 12 years of experience creating and maintaining websites and interactive media for a variety of clients and industries. He has been the lead or the sole developer for multiple projects he has worked on, seeing the projects from design stage through completion.

His specializations include e-Learning programming, graphic and multi-media design and LMS (learning management system) administration. Additionally, Damian is an experienced Lectora user, having used the software to develop Section 508 and SCORM conformant courses for a variety of clients including the US Army, National Wildfire Coordinating Group, FAA and the FDIC.

Why You Should Attend:
During this session, attendees will see how to leverage Lectora’s built-in functionality with dynamic data and information from a Flash movie. You will learn how to communicate with an embedded object through Lectora page events, how to target Flash methods at various levels of the movie and how to call Lectora functions from within Flash. You will also discover how to “pull back the covers” and leverage the structure of the JavaScript code written by Lectora to enhance the overall effectiveness of the content. Additionally, attendees will be provided with working files that will be used in the presentation and will be able to take home to use as a template to create your own interactions.
