The Best of eLearning in September 2016

blog_BestOfSept16

To me, September marks the beginning of fall. However, it hasn’t felt much like fall in Cincinnati yet, and I know some of our readers are across the globe in very different seasons. Therefore, instead of celebrating fall, let’s celebrate all the great things that happened this month.

Number 1 – A Big Announcement

We revealed the location of next year’s Lectora® User Conference. Year after year, one of the biggest benefits attendees cite is the ability to network with Trivantis® employees and meet us in person. (You can’t tell, but we’re blushing over here.) That’s why we’re excited to host the LUC 2017 in our headquarters city, Cincinnati. The “home field advantage,” if you will, enables us to ensure that all your account reps will be at the conference to meet you, and more of the rest of the team. Learn a little more about what to do in the Queen City outside of conference hours here.

Number 2 – A Free Download

Fans of our eBook series cheered a bit when we released a brand new eBook, A Mobile World Needs Responsive Course Design. This eBook goes into the history of responsive design, how it relates to eLearning, and what you need to know to start building mobile courses. It’s free to download and full of useful tips.

Number 3 – All The Wisdom

Many of you attended our recent webinar with Diane Elkins of Artisan E-Learning. Beyond Bullet Points: 7 Tips for Better eLearning was immensely popular. You can find the recording in the Trivantis Community Knowledge Base if you missed the live webinar. Next up in our Inspiration Wednesday webinar series is mLearning Mastery: How to Make eLearning for Every Device (Example Included!) with eLearningJoe. We’re excited to bring Joe Ganci back for another sure to be great webinar. Register here for tomorrow’s webinar at 1:30 pm EDT.

Number 4 – A Little eLearning Fun

Our Community Contest series is taking off. The theme this round is “Pop Quiz!” We’ve already seen several great examples. You can test your Spanish language (or English language) skills in this fun multilingual quiz. Or learn a little bit about the Cincinnati pigs in this drag and drop entry. For the food connoisseurs out there, Community Manager Jennifer Valley created a fun cheese-themed course. Take a look at the contest rules here and then submit your own pop quiz.

Number 5 – Template Talk

The eLearning Brothers released a ton of new Lectora templates this month. They also dropped by the Everything eLearning Blog and shared some tips on how to rebrand an eLearning Brothers template. Check out their suggestions on how to customize a template. After that, take a look at the new templates they featured on their blog, from sporty games to real-world scenarios.

It’s been quite the month! We’re so glad you shared it with us, and we can’t wait to see what next month brings. My fingers are crossed for some fall weather here in Cincinnati—what about you?Don’t forget: you can subscribe to our emails if you want to be the first to hear about upcoming webinars, product releases, and more.
