Cincinnati, OH - Trivantis Corporation, the world leader in authoring and publishing software, today announced the introduction of Lectora Integrator® for Microsoft PowerPoint™. The newest addition to Trivantis' line of Lectora products makes possible the rapid transformation of PowerPoint presentations into powerful elearning content complete with engaging multimedia, trackable assessments, and unlimited interactivity when used with any of the Lectora 2005 editions.
Lectora Integrator eliminates the tedious object-by-object reconstruction process that has been necessary to evolve PowerPoint presentations into elearning content. The Integrator's high-speed retooling of PowerPoint files and ease of use opens the doors to a vast source of classroom and training room presentations. Presentations can be re-scaled, for example, from five standard screen sizes and customized for a non-standard size.
All objects imported into Lectora retain their native format including text, images, animations, actions, and hyperlinks. Using the Integrator and Lectora 2005, content developers have multiple publishing options including SCORM, AICC, and LRN elearning standards for learning management systems (LMSs), CD-ROM, executable files, and html so that the elearning courses can be delivered in a variety of ways. Lectora Integrator can be used independently of Lectora 2005 to publish to an XML format.
The "extreme makeover" process from importation to publication reduces the time and increases the speed for elearning content development. Because Lectora Integrator unifies the development process between subject matter experts (SMEs), who often use PowerPoint, and content developers and instructional designers, who often use Lectora, elearning concepts and storyboards are converted and deployed as elearning content much faster. In addition, because both PowerPoint and Lectora are easy to learn and use, organizations can acquire and expand their internal elearning content development capabilities faster than ever.
According to William "Red Dog" Martin of Procter & Gamble and Dean of Fast Training University, by using the Lectora Integrator, the development of online training is easier and faster than ever before. "Like most companies we have an enormous amount of information already in PowerPoint and now with just one click of a button we can convert our information into a Lectora title. From here we are able to add the interactivity, instructional design, and testing to make it a true elearning course, ready to be published to our LMS."
