Cincinnati, Ohio – Entrepreneur magazine has named Trivantis® Corporation to the Hot 100 Fastest Growing Entrepreneurial Companies in America in the magazine’s June 2004 edition. The Cincinnati-based company, which develops and sells world-class digital publishing software and services, ranked number 96 on this year’s list.
Founded in 1999 by chief executive officer Tim Loudermilk, Trivantis achieved success and profitability in market conditions that have witnessed the crash of most software start-ups. Undeterred by the dot-com bust of 2000 and the struggling economy of the past three years, Trivantis has grown to become the major publishing technology company in the elearning market and is expanding rapidly to other markets.
“It’s been a fast ride,” said Loudermilk, “and we’re still accelerating. Our team has taken Trivantis from start-up to a profitable world-class software company in a short period of time under some extremely difficult economic conditions.”
In 2000 Trivantis introduced Lectora® Publisher, an authoring tool for developing and publishing digital multimedia content. Within a year, Lectora earned a reputation as the “best of breed authoring tool available” and rapidly became the software of choice among educators, trainers, and human resources professionals. Trivantis followed Lectora Publisher with the release of Coursemill®, the first low-cost SCORM conformant learning management system.
In 2003, Trivantis released Zirada™ Publisher to create and publish content to the growing number of wireless and handheld devices powered by Microsoft® Windows® Pocket PC and Palm® operating systems.
Trivantis has grown to 50 employees with offices in Cincinnati, Ohio and Boca Raton, Florida and is a privately held company. The company has a substantial and growing client list of over 600 global corporations, 56 international governmental agencies, and 400 educational institutions.
“Our customers have made it possible for Trivantis to be named to Entrepreneur’s Hot 100 list,” said executive vice president Ben Contra, “We are pleased that so many leading companies and universities have achieved successful results with Lectora Publisher.”
