Instructional Designer

Trivantis is currently seeking a full-time Instructional Designer to design and develop custom elearning projects for our high-profile corporate, government and academic clients. This person will work with a team of project managers, graphic designers and course developers to rapidly deliver best-in-class elearning solutions for LMS, Web and CD.

We are looking for a bright, dedicated and self-motivated professional with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities and proven top-notch elearning instructional design skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop elearning storyboards and learning assessments
  • Apply knowledge of adult education principles and practices to produce learning deliverables
  • Adapt or develop content into organized deliverables
  • Adhere to client style guides and standards for instructional design and development
  • Adhere to the ADDIE instructional design model
  • Lead and assist in the development of projects with a strong focus on delivering quality services in a timely and efficient manner
  • Apply general Instructional Design principles to our clients' content in a manner that is conducive to our clients' needs as well as easy to interpret and understand by our graphic designers
  • Identify and/or describe content-specific graphics and illustrations to use with the courses
  • Develop ideas for content-specific interactive learning exercises using Flash and other tools
  • Lay out all graphics and content using PowerPoint, Word or Lectora Publisher
  • Perform quality assurance tasks which include reviewing and providing feedback for prototypes, alpha and beta versions of produced courses
  • Apply a strong use of the English language in terms of spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Informal and formal training of clients and employees on basic instructional design methods and principles
  • Use performance consulting skills with business owners to analyze needs and determine appropriate solutions and business impact
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal/external associates and clients
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or related field
  • 3-5 years' experience designing elearning projects or custom online multimedia projects
  • Expertise building storyboards using PowerPoint and Word. Lectora knowledge a plus
  • Experience building interactive instructional exercises
  • Absolute attention to detail and high quality standards
  • Experience working with Fortune 500 companies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines under short lead times with changing priorities
  • Capacity to work in a flexible, fast-paced, ever-evolving, positive environment
  • Ability to work and contribute to a team environment as well as work independently
  • Knowledge of interactive and elearning technologies such as Web and CD-ROM. Learning Management Systems knowledge a plus
