Lectora Fundamentals-Learn the Basics
Lectora Fundamentals training focuses on the basics and is geared toward first-time users of Lectora. This course introduces the components of Lectora’s interface and teaches three core concepts when developing with Lectora: the book metaphor, inheritance, and the Lectora modes.
What You'll Learn
How to create a title from scratch:
- Begin by creating the title’s organization and adding images, text, buttons and other objects to the title.
- Creating interactive components such as rollovers and hotspots.
- Using some of Lectora’s time-saving tools and wizards to create buttons, page numbering, and backgrounds.
- Learning how to create a graded test, and how to submit it to an email address, a back-end database, or a Learning Management System.
- Checking for errors and publishing the title to the desired format.
The Fundamentals class begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. Computers are provided for a hands-on learning experience. A course manual and CD containing the course content are given to all trainees. This course is taught using Lectora Pro Suite Version X.
Training Prerequisites
You should be comfortable with basic Windows functionality. This includes navigating with Windows Explorer, minimizing and maximizing windows, copying and pasting, and basic word processing. No prior Lectora knowledge is required.

Lectora Intermediate - Get More from Lectora
Lectora Intermediate training goes above and beyond the basic uses of Lectora and is intended for Lectora users who have completed the Fundamentals training. This course focuses primarily on the use of variables and conditional actions within a title.
What You'll Learn
In this course, you'll learn how to take your Lectora knowledge to the next level:
- Learn how to create additional interactivity.
- Using variables within Lectora.
- Using variables to display generic information such as the user’s name (pulled from a Learning Management System) or the current date on a page.
- Using variables to conditionally branch within the title, display test results on a certificate of completion, and display completion status within a title.
The Intermediate class begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. Computers are provided for a hands-on learning experience. A course manual and CD containing the course content are given to all trainees. This course is taught with Lectora Pro Suite Version X.
Training Prerequisites
You should be comfortable with creating a course structure, adding content to a title, creating buttons, and have an overall understanding of Lectora’s book metaphor, inheritance, and modes.

Lectora Extreme - Creating Custom Functionality
Lectora Extreme training goes above and beyond the conventional uses of actions and conditions and focuses on creating custom functionality suitable for all types of elearning. The course is designed for users who are comfortable using Lectora and can use actions and conditions to create interactivity.
What You'll Learn
- Learn how to move beyond the basics of Lectora to produce advanced functionality:
- Create pre-tests that will count towards completion of a course; display completion status of chapters within a title.
- Create custom, gradable questions that are not of the standard 6 question types.
- Interact with Flash objects, and learn how to pass information to and retrieve information from a Flash object.
- Use form elements to store user input.
- This course relies heavily on the use of variables to create advanced functionality within a title.
The Extreme class begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. Computers are provided for a hands-on learning experience. A course manual and CD containing the course content are given to all trainees. This course is taught with Lectora Pro Suite Version X and the Audio/Video Editor.
Training Prerequisites
You'll get the most out of your Extreme training if you have attended the Fundamentals and Intermediate training, or have equivalent experience. In addition, you should be comfortable working with form elements, variables, and conditional actions as well as be familiar with the various object properties.

As an alternative to our classroom training in Cincinnati, our online training is ideal for those who want to take interactive training courses at their own pace and from the comfort of their home or office.
