Lectora v.X includes the following features:
New Flash Characters –Use the twenty six new Flash characters, including industry-related characters such as soldiers and doctors, synchronized with audio, text and borders.
Share Media, Templates and Library Objects Online –Store media, templates and library objects online and share them with any and all Lectora users – even those outside your own organization! Collaborating is simple and eliminates the need to email, FTP, or store media, templates and other library objects on a network.
Dockable Properties Window – Choose where and how to view an object’s properties. Move the window around, hide it, or keep it in a desired location.
New and Improved Interface – The new and improved Lectora interface features a modern look and allows you to customize your toolbars, dock or float the Title Explorer (left-hand pane), and create a workspace according to your preferences.
Multi-Language Publishing – After translating your title into multiple languages, you can easily publish courses to all your desired languages at the same time, saving time and effort.
Customizable Toolbars – Pick and choose which toolbars and toolbar icons you want displayed within Lectora and move them to a desired location.
Expanded Clip Art Library - We’ve added over 250 high-quality, professional images to the existing library of 6,000.
Enhanced 508 Compliance – Make your courses more compliant with 508 standards with these new features:
- FLV Closed Captioning – Easily make FLV videos 508 compliant by adding closed captioning.
- Improved Screen Reader Functionality – Buttons work seamlessly with popular screen readers, such as JAWS.
- 508 Documentation – Use the 508 documentation, which references courses and templates for developing 508 content, to create your own.
New Flash Games – Make tests more interactive by using the three new Flash games:
- Hangman –Just like everyone’s favorite road trip game-the game draws parts of a stickman as you try to beat it and get to the correct word answer.
- Image Reveal – Answer questions to reveal pieces of an image, until the entire image is revealed.
- Word Scramble – Unscramble letters to identify the correct word.
Dynamic Titles – Instantly update the text within published titles by editing an associated published XML file. Makes updating published titles fast and easy.
Tip of the Day – To enhance your Lectora skills, each time you open Lectora you can read a helpful tip or trick.
Symbol Library – Save time by easily adding symbols such as copyright and trademark symbols into text.
Mute/Unmute FLV Media – Globally mute and unmute audio across a title for all FLV media.
Save Custom Buttons and Checkboxes – Save custom form elements for titles to ensure consistency when multiple people collaborate on course development or when titles are saved and reused later.
Hide Title, Chapter, and Section Objects - For a more organized and easier to read Title Explorer (left-hand pane), collapse objects such as actions at the title, chapter, or section level.
“This Object” Action Target – For easier copying and pasting of actions to objects, use the new target “This Object,” which eliminates the need to list a specific object name as your target.
Translate Object Names – Translate alt tags in published HTML with the ability for the translation tool to optionally translate object names.
Change Contents for Questions – Questions can now be the target for a change contents action, enabling questions to update on the page with the new answer. This is especially helpful when creating interactive, custom questions that include media.
Enhanced Shape Tool – Shapes created by the shape tool feature a smoother, crisper edge.
Error Reporting Functionality – If a Lectora program failure occurs, instantly report error information to Trivantis to review for possible Service Pack releases.
Instant Opening of HTML Folder – Easily access your published folder with all your HTML files by simply clicking the Preview in Browser button.
