Lectora Author Certification FAQ

What is the certification format?
There are two levels of certification, Lectora Certified Author and Lectora Certified Advanced Author. Both levels of certification comprise two parts:

• The online test consists of 100 various question types of equal weight.
• The sample title is a Lectora title which must be enhanced, corrected and submitted per instructions.

Is Lectora training required?
Training will improve one’s chances of passing, but it is not required.

What’s the cost of certification?
Each certification is only $99, payable by credit card.

How long do I have to complete a certification level?
You have 3 months from registration to complete both parts of a certification level. You must pass the online test with a minimum score of 80 to access the sample title. The online test can be taken multiple times within the allotted 3 month period to achieve a passing score.

How soon will I receive my results?
You will receive your test result immediately after completing the online test. It will take Trivantis approximately 3 weeks to review the sample title and notify you of the results.

Is certification renewal required?
Certified authors should demonstrate competency with the latest tools and functionality. To maintain current certification, simply renew every 2 years.

If I do not pass, can I get a refund?
Refunds are not given under any circumstance.
