Author of Three Best-Selling Books Announced as 2012 LUC Keynote Speaker

Lectora^® is pleased to announce that Sandy Carter, author and IBM Vice President, Social Business and Collaboration Solutions Sales and Evangelism, will be the Keynote Speaker on Thursday, May 24 of the 2012 Lectora User Conference. She'll discuss social media and its impact on the workplace and in learning environments.

Carter is the author of three best-selling books on social media and Web 2.0 and was voted as one of the Top 10 Women in Social Media by Altimeter Group. Her books, "The New Language of Business: SOA & Web 2.0," won the Platinum MarCom Award in 2008, and "The New Language of Marketing 2.0: Social Media," won the Silver MarketingSherpa award in 2009. She also recently released "Get Bold," which focuses on maximizing social media strategies in a corporate environment. In fact, every Lectora User Conference will receive "Get Bold" free of charge during this keynote.

In addition to being a three-time author, Carter sets the direction for IBM's Social Business initiative, works with companies who are becoming Social Businesses and is the evangelist for the concept and best practices around Social Business.
