Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati is also experiencing

benefits with Lectora Integrator. "We had an existing PowerPoint slideshow on patient care that we wanted to convert into a training course for clinicians at one of our hospitals," said Suzanne Burgei, Manager, Training & Development Technology, Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati. "With the click of a button, the PowerPoint presentation was imported directly into Lectora! It was so easy to use and is a perfect way to spice up a course or presentation. In fact, the Integrator even brought over animations into Lectora. We were able to quickly add navigation and incorporate an appropriate background from one of the Lectora 2005 gallery templates. This tool is so much more efficient than copying and pasting content!"

Trivantis Conducts Customer-Based Research

Trivantis works hard to meet the needs of each of our customers on a daily basis. In order to serve you better, Trivantis will be conducting customer-based research on our products and services. We want to know how we have helped your corporation, government agency, or academic institution and learn about the areas where we can improve. In addition, as a participant in this survey, you will also benefit by learning some of the interesting findings in the study, which Trivantis will make public to those who take part in the survey. This informative study, which we enlisted MessageFactors, Inc. to independently conduct, is strictly confidential. To conduct this research, Trivantis will be sending most of our clients a link to this survey via e-mail. Be sure to check your e-mail so you can take part in this beneficial survey!

Next year's conference will feature presentations by Lectora pros, panel discussions by e-learning experts, and whole community discussions. LUC 2005 "Margaritaville" Party (Shown Above)

Mark your 2006 calendars for the Lectora User Conference (LUC) to be held March 29-31 in Orlando, Florida. The two-day conference will bring you face to face with Lectora experts and give you the opportunity to discover what others are doing with Lectora.

Appearance of text boxes on different screen sizes and default fonts

If you are worried about your end user seeing your content differently due to their own personal screen setting, such as a larger default font type, then you may want to render your text as an image. If you check the "render text as image when published" box in the text box properties section, then the text will become an image file upon publishing. This will enable your text to be independent of any font setting from within the browser and your end user will see the font just as you created it in Lectora.

ALT Tags in Lectora

Inside Lectora, ALT Tags are automatically placed on buttons, images, and animations when published based on the name given to the object in the left hand pane. To do so, the "create alt tags" option must be enabled. To turn off this option for individual objects, simply check the "use empty alt tag for html publish" box in the image's properties.

Protecting your title

With Lectora 2004 and higher, you can password protect your content so that others can view it, but not alter it in any way. This feature, known as Author Control, allows the author to place a restricted lock on one or more items within a title. Once enabled, this item or its children can't be modified in any way unless the Author Control restriction is lifted using the master Author Control password. To enable Author Control, go into the title properties and select the Author Control tab. Then, enable this feature by defining a password for the title. Once this is enabled, you can protect individual pages or items by simply selecting the Author Control checkbox on the properties page for each item that you would like protected.

Lectora Integrator Receives Rave Reviews

In the two months since Lectora Integrator was introduced by                   Trivantis, it has received rave reviews from clients worldwide.                   "This product is phenomenal," said Lee Griffin, Senior Technical Consultant at P&H Mining. Griffin recently used Lectora Integrator to quickly import two existing PowerPoint presentations, which outlined important product information and terminology, into Lectora. "The entire process was seamless and took only a few seconds for the integration," said Griffin. Following the conversion, Griffin then spent approximately two days adding an e-learning interface, incorporating note commentary, and developing assessment questions. He then easily published it to AICC standards and loaded it directly to P&H Mining's LMS. "Lectora Integrator streamlined what could have been a two week process into just two days!"
