1. Create a New Title
Begin working in Lectora by creating a new title, managing folders, using the wizard and choosing templates.

6. Use the Media Library
Use the media library to upload and organize images. To add them to your title, simply double click the desired image.

9. Use the Button Wizard
Use the button wizard on the Tools menu to choose from a variety of pre-programmed stock buttons that you can add to your title, or to build your own custom button with text. Add interactive properties and assign actions.

10. Adding Audio and Video
Audio and video are added by importing your file through tools on the Insert menu. Modifying the properties can be done while importing or by right clicking on the object to display and edit properties.

11. Preview and Publish Title
Use edit and preview modes for working and previewing your work. Use the publish button to perform error checks and publish to your choice of format: the Web, a Learning Management System, or as a standalone application.

| Streaming Video | Stream Flash (.flv) and YouTube video directly within your titles. Streaming enables you to display videos that already exist online, without having to include the videos in your title. |
| Media Player Skins | When you have selected to include a Flash (.flv) video or audio object, you can apply a predefined skin to the controller. |
| Enhanced Flash Support | When using any of the configurable Flash animations, upload existing resources such as recorded audio for use with the animation. Test your animations in Preview mode. |

Lectora Online Specifications
Authoring Systems
- A Windows PC or Macintosh computer connected to the Internet (broadband recommended)
- Internet browser - Lectora Online requires Internet Explorer 7.0 or newer or any version of Mozilla Firefox.
- Firefox is the recommended browser.
Viewing Systems
- Internet-published content is cross-platform compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 and higher, all versions of Firefox and Safari 1.2 and higher.
- To use the test submittal and form submittal of Lectora Online-published HTML content, Macintosh-based users must ensure their browser supports LiveConnect. LiveConnect enables JavaScript and Java to freely interchange data on a Web site. Windows-based browsers provide LiveConnect support, by default.

- Images: TIF, GIF, JPG, BMP, PNG, WMF, EMF, IPIX
- Audio: WMA, WAV, MID, RMI, AU, MP3, AIFF, FLVASF (streaming audio by Microsoft) or RM (streaming Real Audio)
- Video: WMV, FLV, AVI, MOV, MPG, MPEG, RM, RAM, ASF (streaming video by Microsoft) or RM (streaming Real Video)
- Documents: RTF, TXT Other: Shockwave, SWF, Java, Javascript, ASP, JSP, PHP, ColdFusion
- Lectora Online supports Flash (SWF) content produced natively by Flash, or by other products such as Captivate, Camtasia, etc.
Import Options
- PKG files: Titles exported from Lectora (desktop) or Lectora Online as package files can be imported into Lectora Online as new titles.
- PPT files: MS PowerPoint 2000, 2003 and 2007 presentations can be imported into Lectora Online to create new titles.
