Default Lectora X.4.1 - ipad - buttons not navigating

I have a serious problem with some SCORM 1.2 content that has been developed and we are trying to playback using an ipad.

It appears that several plain old buttons just do not seem to register a click when using the ipad touch screen. As an example we have 2 screens both using buttons with exactly the same architecture and navigation rules. Whilst the button on the first page works everytime, the button on the second page works once in every 100 clicks, or there abouts.

I have done extensive debugging on this issue using the Safari conole on the ipad to write out values and find out what is happening. It appears the button just doesn't register the click, even though the rollover state displays.

What I have found is that the same course published as HTML rather than SCORM does not produce the same problems. It seems that it is something to do with the course being published as SCORM.

There are not any JavaScript errors displaying in the console. The course is fine on Win/IE Win/Saf etc and so it seem isolated to ipad SCORM.

The unsual thing is the SCORM/ipad will work if running on an old iOS (3.2.2), but running on iOS 4.3.5 and 4.3.3, it doesn't work.

Anyway assistance with this would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Sam

    Default resolved

I thought I'd post a follow up to this as it's definitely someting that can catch you out when developing content for the ipad.

The issue turned out to be related to using a three framed animated GIF as a button. Changing the graphic to a single frame has resolved the issue.

I hope whoever experiences this problem finds this post and isn't left with a single strand of hair like I now am

It would appear to be a Lectorture bug I think.

    Default More follow up!

    More follow up from me

Generally on dektop click action is executed when we select the 'click' event for mouse button. For iPad we need to execute the same action on 'rollOver' event for mouse button. When the user taps on screen of iPad it registers rollOver event and when the user taps twice in a quick succession then only it registers the 'click' event.....

also can you please let me know which LMS have you tested the course from iPad ?
