Thanks for the info! I agree, Browsers are a web developer's nightmare...have been for years. I am pleased with the newer technologies that are coming out like I had mentioned (CSS3, jQuery, XHTML, HTML5, etc). With mobile internet become more widely used, yes Flash is not the best choice to use in terms of the mobile web area. Some phones support it, however, most don't. Not yet anyways.

Integrating (into a simple Flash site) SWFAddress into Flash sites have been a MAJOR stepping stone. Its a great technology to use for browser toolbar support.

I haven't experienced any major security issues with Flash nor have my end users, so not sure what issues you are running into.

I got my Lectora course running decently finally. It took a lot of text tweaking and messing around, work arounds...I contacted Trivantis. I see a TON of posts about text problems.

I think they need to work on their output code. Its too repetitive and bloated and their implementation of CSS is crap. Needs to be cleaned up. However, I have no experience building software, so I have no idea how that works.

We also use IE6 as our standard browser -- so I feel your pain. However, I've worked with and tested over 100 "basic" lectora "advanced" courses and interactions, in the past couple years and I'm with Ben, I while I have only seen such strange formatting issues, it's only been when there's a "wrap" set to it. **edit --> or when there's some "Word" formatting that gets pasted with the text somehow in to the text box. If you can't find other reasons for the text to be funky -- pull the text out, copy/paste into notepad, delete the old Lectora text box, and paste the text from Notepad using the Paste as Unformatted text option. <-- edit**

In fact, outside some more "minor issues" like no native support for transparent PNGs (which has since been fixed), for all the possibilities, the code is amazingly solid in IE6.

Ben offered to take a look at your file. if you could extract that page and any additional company-specific information and post it, I'm sure the group will be able to assist better. It may be something you're just not looking for like an inherited object or something causing the issues.
