Default Lectora Integration with various LMS.

I have a suggestion for a topic for the general community.  We are all off developing content with this great tool, Lectora, and enjoying the ease at which we can publish in a variety of ways. What I would like hear about are the successful and not so successful attempts at publishing Lectora titles and getting them to work with the various LMS'.  I believe this will help us all.For example, the LMS system I am using is Aspen 1.1.  I have learned that a Lectora titled published as AICC will not work with it.  However, if you publish the same Lectora title as SCORM it works.  Anyone else like to share their story of integrating Lectora with their LMS?R

This is a great topic!I am deploying Lectora AICC content in Saba (v3.4.02). ¬â€*Have found it to *mostly* work. ¬â€*Am seeing some inconsistencies with AICC data- seemingly simple things like date formats not compatible and therefore causing interactions to report incorrectly in the LMS.Am fairly new with Lectora & Saba (8 months), so still finding my way around. ¬â€*This type of thread would be incredibly valuable to me.

Hi there!very nice topic!I use the LMS Fronter 3.1 (updates 4 times a year) that works good with Lectora. We publish to SCORM/web-based. The amount of results saved is limited, only the time needed and the overall score. Fronter is working on saving other (interesting?) results like the given answers of the seperate questions.SCORM is a combination of different standards, AICC is one of them. If AICC publishing doesn't work it probably doesn't generate enough information. the SCORM publishing apparantly generates that information so that works. I'm very interested in other stories!

I'm using Pathlore, and have discovered exactly the opposite... courses will work when published to AICC, but not SCORM.I'm using Pathlore, and have discovered exactly the opposite... courses will work when published to AICC, but not SCORM.

We use Lectora Professional Publishing Suite with the TEDS LMS with excellent results. We publish to SCORM. Had a few bugs in the beginning, mostly due to content stored on a seperate server than our LMS, requiring an API to be installed, but other than that, no exceptional problems. We can published to AICC and SCORM. The only change required is to set the AICC_Lesson_Status variable (such as completed or passed) to the appropriate standard.

Great topic!  I, too, like the WYSIWYG ease of use you get with Lectora.  We just upgraded to Lectora Professional Publishers Suite 2003 a few months ago.Our LMS is Learn.com's LearnCenter.  We have had no problems importing most AICC or SCORM content, but have not been able to import SCORM content published through Lectora.  So far, we have been able to import AICC published content, but only if we make sure we don't launch the content in a separate window. If anyone has any ideas or possible solutions, I'd be more than glad to hear about them.

I'm both new to this community and a recent Lectora convert.  We use Lectora with MRT's TrackED system using the AICC interface and it works perfectly.I'm enjoying the topics and responses in the community.  Thanks all for sharing.

Ron,I'm sorry to hear that you had problems with AICC and Aspen. We are also running Aspen and I have recently completed validation of Lectora's ability to publish AICC content to launch and track properly from Aspen.  One of the things you need to do is on the final page is to use an action to set the variable AICC_Lesson_Status to Completed.  Aspen needs this completion variable or it will not record the information.  We did not use SCORM becuase Apsen does not support remote launch of SCORM content while it will support remote launch of AICC.Good luck,Shawn
