Default Cancel test but still reports as taken with zero score

I set up a final exam (test) for a student to complete. In our course, the student has the choice of submitting or not submitting the score, with the idea that maybe they want to retake it if the score is too low. If they decide not to submit, I set an action onshow reset the final exam, basically putting a zero in the final_exam_score variable. I also had to force the AICC_Score to be zero because for some reason it was picking up the previous value of the final_exam_score. Additionally, I also set the AICC_Lesson_Status to incomplete just to make sure.

    Problem
However, although the LMS shows the course as in progress, in the report it shows the score as zero as if the test has been taken with a zero score and if the test is completed.

    Any suggestions anyone?

    It is me again...
I think that the problem may be that when the test is finished and the done (last question) is press and a submit/process test/survey action is performed on the final exam, that all this has some effect on the AICC_Score which can not be altered later, even if the cancel test action is done and it reports a score. If the aicc_score is set to zero it will report zero, if I set it to a blank the LMS gives a [null] error.
Before the submit/process test/survey action is executed I printed the value of the aicc_score and is blank. Maybe the LMS if does not see blank takes it as a score.

In principle, AICC_Score does not control a status of the course, AICC_Lesson_Status does. So you should look at lesson status, not score, when determining whether the course is completed or not.

    Thanks for your feedback.
I did change the AICC_Lesson_Status to incomplete and for some reason the LMS still took the value stored in the AICC_Score and assumed that the test was completed.

Through testing, I found out that if the test is canceled before the 'done' (submit test) action is done, there is no value (as in empty) in the AICC_Score and the lesson is taken as incomplete, but as soon as the 'done' action takes place and I try to cancel/reset the test, the AICC_Score is kept (unless reset to zero) and even if the AICC_Lesson_Status is set to incomplete the test is taken as complete and shows the student progress with whatever AICC_Score was last.
