Lectora Certified Author

A Lectora Certified Author demonstrates a strong understanding of Lectora capabilities and can successfully create, troubleshoot and publish Lectora titles. The author is capable of creating basic interactivity with the use of actions and variables.

First level of certification

  • Tests knowledge and skills equivalent to Lectora Fundamental and Intermediate training provided by Trivantis.
  • Successful completion of Lectora Certified Author qualifies you to progress to Lectora Certified Advanced Author.
  • Consists of an online test and a sample title.

Lectora Certified Author Topic Overview

  • Recognize the Lectora interface and identify underlying fundamental concepts
  • Recall benefits of Lectora tools
  • Modify resources (images, audio, video, etc.)
  • Create and edit gradable tests
    • Identify appropriate actions for the following functionality:
             -rollovers
             -test, survey, form submissions
             -navigation
             -access of additional files
             -conditional actions
  • Identify appropriate publish settings
  • Troubleshoot and resolve warnings and errors

Lectora Certified Advanced Author

A Lectora Certified Advanced Author demonstrates extensive knowledge of Lectora and has the ability to develop complex interactivity within a title. The author has problem-solving skills and a basic understanding of web-based programming.

Second-level of certification

  • Must complete and pass the first level of certification, Lectora Certified Author, before completing the Lectora Advanced Author certification.
  • Tests knowledge and skills equivalent to Lectora Extreme training provided by Trivantis.
    • Once you have achieved standing as a Lectora Certified Advanced Author, you will be qualified to participate in Lectora’s Certified Instructor Program
    • Consists of an online test and a sample title.
