If you haven’t already heard, the newest version of Lectora® Online e-Learning collaboration software is here! Lectora Online Version 1.6.2 includes brand new features for simple, seamless online e-Learning development – anywhere, anytime.

Today’s blog includes fun ways to use the new Lectora Online Live Model Gallery: a collection of 5,500 unique, high resolution and transparent photographs including 33 models from a variety of backgrounds and professions. These new models are just one way to add an extra special touch to your next e-Learning course.

To access the Live Model Gallery, simply open the Media Library Organizer and click on the Live Model Gallery Folder.

3 Ways to Use the Live Model Gallery:

1. Tell a story: What better way to peak learners’ interest than to tell a story? Pick one or two models from the Live Model Gallery, name the model(s) and develop a simple plotline. Then, find a unique way to introduce the models and weave the plotline into your course. As you tell the story, your audience will have so much fun that they will forget they’re learning!

2. Relate to your Audience: Make sure the live models you choose are the right fit for your course. Implement models that are friendly, functional and relatable to learners. For example, if your learners work in the medical profession, you may want to select models wearing scrubs or a doctor’s jacket. Choosing the appropriate models will help ensure consistency throughout your entire e-Learning course.

3. Increase Interactivity: Models can do more than stand and stare – they can interact with learners. Use live models to say “hello” at the beginning of your course and “goodbye” at the end. Have models react to correct and incorrect answers in quizzes by adding “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” poses. Pair models with audio clips or speech bubbles to make learners feel like your models are presenting the information. These are just a few examples of what you can do – the possibilities are endless.

Other Lectora Online 1.6.2 features include:

  • Faster Browsing in Media Library Organizer – All images in the Media Library Organizer now include thumbnails for a quick preview of all media. This will help your development team save time as you view, select and add media to Lectora courses.
  • Preview Published Page for Reviewers – Reviewers can now preview the published version of a page in a new browser window, allowing them to see exactly how the content will look including any scripting built by the developers. This feature
